The Challenge
We're two men, Lucas Jensen and Christian K. Andersen, who has signed up for a challenge. The challenge is simply to drive our vehicle to Banjul in Gambia. We start in Denmark the 26. december by driving to spain, and meet with the other teams in our group. Thereafter we heads south through Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania and Senegal, arriving in Banjul in The Gambia. All the vehicles arriving in Banjul is auctioned in aid of local Charities!
The route travels mostly on tarmac roads, but the highlight is the two-day crossing of the Sahara Desert. The journey is approximately 6000 km. which we will cover in three weeks (if all goes well).
The Rules
Their are only few rules in this challenge.
- The cars has to be bought for less than £100.
- The preparation of the vehicle has a maximum budget of £15.
- Teams are on their own, once the Challenge is underway, which means there will be no form of formal assistance from the organisers.
- All of vehicles that make the full distance to Banjul must be handed over to the organisers to be auctioned in aid of local Charities.
- All vehicles must be LHD (Left-Hand Drive)
Rules 4 & 5 cannot be broken under any circumstances!

The money from the car
The car was auctioned the 31/1-10 at Banjul Stadium. Our car got 75'000 Gambian Dalasi which is equal to 15'000 kr.
